Blocked Drains - whether it is a blocked storm water pipe or a blocked sewer line can be one of the most frustrating and inconvenient things to cost you a lot of money in your home.  Sometimes it may be simple to clear blocked drains yourself, and other times you require a professional Sydney Plumber.

Second to blocked pipes in inconvenience comes a Blocked Toilet.  A blocked toilet could be a symptom of a blocked sewer system . But it could be something much simpler.  Whilst many toilet blockages can be fixed with a little DIY know-how, fixing a blocked toilet may be a larger problem that needs to be attended to by the professionals.

Blocked Drain cleaning equipment is designed so that it does not damage your sewer lines, if the lines are in good condition, but if your old earthenware pipes are not in good condition, any drain cleaning equipment can become stuck in the damaged section of the pipe, or in some extreme cases, the removal or the tree root blockage binding the damaged pipe work together can cause the already damaged pipe work to collapse - resulting in further excavation and replacement.

Unfortunately this is a catch 22 situation, your drain is blocked and needs to be cleared, and it’s full of sewerage so a drain camera cannot be used to access the condition of the pipe because it can’t see through the sewer water. So your plumber has a dilemma, he has to put his equipment down the drain in good faith, not knowing the severity of the problem. Nine times out of ten the line can be cleared but occasionally excavation is required.

Plumbing Pipes such as your kitchen sink, bathroom basis and other drains can become blocked from hair, fat and other organic particles. Clearing a blocked pipe can often be as simple DIY task, although preventative maintenance is a much cheaper solution.

Sometimes both the water jetter and the electric eel are required to be used in conjunction to defeat the most stubborn of tree root infestations.
